Dorothy's House
Seattle, WA
Named for the land’s previous owner, Dorothy’s house has a spirit of resilience and courage expressed through a gutsy cantilevered structure & materials like rough sawn cedar, blackened steel and solid walnut. This weight is balanced with elements like the whimsy of stainless cable netting for railing and the refinement brought in through soft luxurious furnishings and fabrics. The overall effect of the residence is a well-balanced cohesive interior. The furniture feels nestled within the architecture providing a warm and cozy spot to experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
